身に付ける's meaning and how to use?

Meaning

(1) Take it with you. 

大金を身に付ける。Put a lot of money on your body.


(2) Wear clothes.

ドレスを身に付ける。Wear a dress.


(3) Master.

技術を身に付ける。Master technology.

身につけたい能力。The ability you want to master.


In the beginning, this word referred to putting something on oneself, and it gradually evolved to put abstract concepts such as knowledge and skills on oneself.
